A Note on How This Site Was Built 🤖

I'm a mother of four and a full-time caregiver to my adult son with special needs. I am not a software engineer, and my free time is basically non-existent. So learning to build a website from scratch was never going to happen.

What I do have is a pile of recipes I love and a strong opinion that finding them shouldn't involve ads, a 2,000-word story about someone's grandmother's porch, or a page that refuses to load while dinner burns.

So this site is my little corner of the internet for me, my friends, and my family.

Here's how it gets made. I use AI tools to help build the site itself and to help develop the recipes. I show up with an idea, the ingredients I want to use, and the direction I'm craving, and AI helps me turn that into a written recipe.

Then the real work happens in my kitchen. I cook every recipe myself, photograph it, and only post it once I've actually eaten it and loved it. Sometimes I get a ratio or a flavor wrong (it happens!), and I rework it until it's right. Anything that doesn't pass the first time goes to The Test Kitchen, where I keep track of what went wrong and what I'll fix next time.

If this site helps other people on their cooking journey, that's wonderful. If it never leaves my circle, it's already done its job. Think of it as an old-fashioned recipe book, just online and with fewer stains.

Hope you enjoy!
